going over the water

hi all being a class 1 hgv driver i have driven all over europe and for the past few years we have holidayed in a mobile home at lake garda as it is a fantastic place.  but we brought our own caravan just over a year ago and had many great trips away sinde but only in uk, and it was good apart from the weather!!! so im asking all the experienced euro campers were would be the best places to go in italy with my own tourer.what sort of prices would i be looking at? oh by the way the mobile home in lake garda in august was nearly 2.5k!! oh just 1 thing the van i have is a twin axle swift which i have read that lots of places in europe wont except twins.

can any of you experienced euro campers pls help me find me and my family a nice place in the sun for next year.
