Glitch with Via Michelin route planner

Has anyone experienced this before? I planned a route on Via Michelin to keep as a paper copy in case the Tom Tom went down as my wife is not too good at reading maps. I asked for an off toll route and it gave me the exact route I had planned from the maps and checked with my Tom Tom except for one stretch.

It told me to join the A10 north of Tours and go around the city but it told me to stay on the A10 heading south until junction 27 exiting at Chatellerault Sud. I thought this was actually a toll section of the A10 with the tolls starting just south of junction 24.1 for Monts. I checked the maps again and could see the toll lines where I thought they were and then checked on Google Earth to see that the pay stations were actually there.

I have never found such an error before but then again I have perhaps not known the route as well as I do this time so it may be common. Has anyone else experienced this sort of hicup, it does not instill confidence in Via Michelin which I thought was absolutely trustworthy?

Regards, Roy
