Germany Stellplatze - Nederlandse Caravan Club

Just like to say what a lovely time we had in Holland/Germany travelling in our motorhome for the first time. We met some lovely people purely by chance and stayed in some very lovely places. I hope that the information below is of use to you.

In Germany we stayed in a Stellplatze - in Bergen http://www.bergen-online.de/147-0-Wohnmobilstellplatz.html for 3.50 euros per night, book in via the Town Hall, a big building nearer the main road opposite a chinese - 20 euros for a key to a padlock that holds the water, electric, waste. Stayed for 3 nights and felt very safe.

We then went onto Sudsee Camp where we saw a Stellplatze - 13 euros electric extra, but we had booked onto the main site before arriving so didn't know it existed.

Travelled to North Germany and stayed on another Stellplatze in Bremerhaven harbour very picturesque not quite like Skegness - 10 euros a night - 50 cents (don't forget to keep some in your ashtray) for electric meter and 20 euros for a key for the toilets which we didn't know until the office had closed 08 ° 34 `33" E / 53 ° 31 `57" N

We arrived back in the UK this morning but before that we stumbled across the Nederlandse Caravan Club. If you google the website and translate it to English the full list comes up under 'LAND', http://cms.ncc.nl/ or http://cms.ncc.nl/club-terreinen/alle-terreinen

The site we hit upon was Belt-Schutsloot N 52 ° 40'20 "- E 6 ° 03'37" near Meppel in Holland (very nice for cycling along the village/canal and stopping at the local bar/cafe, overlooks a marine), we were looking for a night to stop and asked whether we could stay, was told only if a member of the Caravan Club. I didn't have my membership card but had a copy of my ferry booking form with the Caravan Club name at the top and this was fine, they were really helpful. 

The facilities were impeccable and we had free wifi which meant I could research their details and found out more what they do and more importantly other sites we could stay at.  As we were catching the ferry from Rotterdam and on leaving I asked if they could recommend another site nearer to the ferry terminal they pointed us in the right direction, programmed the coordinates and off we went.

We then made our way onto Brielle N 51 ° 54'46 "- E 4 ° 10'49" - less than 10 miles from the Europoort but within a wooded area and close to a small ferry to take us and our bikes over to the town of Brielle (a very lovely town and not to be missed). The warden wasn't as friendly and spoke little English not like the first but after a bit of translation with my ipad he was just as helpful (technology when you need it). The electric at this site was metered and everything done by the book but for 13 euros a night couldn't complain. Same facilities, just as clean and free wifi with the same code as the last site.
