German Campsites quite refreshing

We were really surprised after our first camping visit to a German Campsite (Kleinenzhof in the Black Forest), just how helpful and well organised they were.

There was offers to help setup, (as we are newbies) and if there was anything else that we needed help with.

Bread rolls and normal loaves of bread could be ordered the night before, and all you needed to do was walk to the shop and get them freshly baked ready for a full English or whatever took your fancy!

40p for WiFi for the entire stay (covered the print out of the login details) would put CC sites to shame (but that is another thread) !

Yes, there were some rules/regulations and everyone, no matter where they were traveling from, accepted them no questions asked. Even if you maybe considered bending the rules, you soon realised they made sense and made the stay more enjoyable.

The quiet period between 13:00hr and 15:00 hrs was respected by people of all generations and ages. Kids had to be quiet after 20.00hrs and adults after 22:00hrs. This made the stay so relaxing. Could it not be something other campsites could adopt with all the other rules & regulations?

Kids play areas were full of fun and laughter and kids just got along no matter what language they spoke, it really was great, and took me back to my younger days when you would play on swings or in the case of this campsite even homemade rafts in a small (child safe) brook.

Any thoughts anyone?
