European Breakdown Cover

Going to France in a few weeks. Never bothered with breakdown cover before as we tow in the UK, the towcar is less than 2 years old and the van in 4 years old, but thought it would be sensible.

First problem is the van is a twin axle Bailley Senator 7.89m long and all the companies I have contacted so far limit the van length they will recover to between 7.0m (Green Insurance) to 7.6m (RAC).

Any ideas on who provides breakdown cover for a long van, and then who provides the cover at an affordable price.

Twin axles are hardly rare in the UK so I am surprised how hard this has become, but any help or advice you can provide is gratefully accepted.
