CCI or ACSI or nothing at all....?

We are off to Holland soon.  We have been to Holland before and did not have either the CCI nor ACSI card, nor did we have to hand in our Passports to reception - although I noted that some guests did hand over a Passport.  Are either of these cards a good idea for use as ID - any experiences welcome as I have Googled for information and there is not much of use that I can find.  Thanks...:)
