CCI or ACSI

This year we spent 6 weeks touring France and were disappointed to discover that CCI was not very useful in any of the 9 sites that we visited; that is, no reductions were offered.  The general story was that ACSI reductions were available but Caravan Club no longer issue ACSI.  My copy of the European sites is 3 years old and seems to indicate that low season offers depend on having CCI.  Perhaps the rules have changed and CCI is only a substitute for the passport.  Would appreciate any feed-back.
