Caravan Club Ferry price

Was a bit disappointed this week as tried to book a ferry home and found it was cheaper direct than with the club. I have always booked through the club before and they have always given the best price. However when I enquired about a one way from Dunkirk to Dover the price for the van was the same as direct but the trailer was double! I questioned this and was put on hold for over 4 minutes whilst the lady checked it (I am in Europe and was ringing from there, which I told her) only for her to come back and confirm the original price. Needless to say I declined the club price and booked direct with DFDS as they only charge £10 for the bike/trailer.

Apparently you can get offers on a caravan, even free on some crossings but not it would seem for a bike on a trailer! Strange!

I'll be checking both prices in future
