Camping in the Slovak and Hugarian Republics

My wife and I are thinking of touring central Europe next year and after travelling via Berlin to the Czech Reublic we were thinking of moving on southwards and eastwards to Slovakia and Hungary.  This is a bit out of our present "comfort zone" and I would appreciate any advice about what to expect, travelling etc.

Also are vignettes required for our car and caravan when using their roads?  If so, what is the cost and are they readily available?
