Evening all. Thinking of going to Sables D'Olonne in August which would be only our second French outing. Last year went to Benodet travelling from Roscoff which was only about 70 odd miles and which turned out to be not worth the worry before hand with it being our first time. The ferry however wasn't cheap....so thinking of Calais this time around and going further south. The ferry gets in to Calais around 08:00 and the trip seems to be around 420 miles....has anyone done this one and is it "do-able" in one hit? Cheers, Roger.
