Hi All.  We are planning a trip to Jungfrau in Switzerland and I was hoping one of you lovely people have done a similar trip before.  We are looking to breakup the journey with a stop or 2.  Can you recommend any good sites?  We are in a motorhome but would prefer a campsite as have children and would like to have electric hookup.  Thank you in advance.

Day 1 Home to Calais - we used to  overnight at Camping Fort Lapin - a simple seafront site to walk or run on the beach, and to stock up with food, wine and beer at the nearby Auchan hyper market.

Day 2 Toll free motorway and dual carriageway via  Lille and  Namur to Luxembourg -250 miles - we used to stay at Camping Kockelscheuer

Day 3 You might manage the last 300 miles to Swiss destination. Is that too far for you? Or do you want another overnight?

I can vouch for Kockelscheuer as we stayed there 2 nights last year & used the free bus service into the city.... but did travel direct from Calais via the Dunkirk War Memorial.

Can't help with a stop in between as we criss-crossed a bit to visit the Rheinfalls in Schauffhausen.

We were on a 5 week tour so made multiple stops but spent 5 nights at Camping Breithorn which is a little further on than the Jungfrau site.

The whole area is amazing, so much to take in, make sure you visit the Trummelbach Falls. The bus & train into Interlaken are reasonably priced but if you're going to do any boat trips & mountain railways it will pay to purchase an Oberland Pass but you must make use of it..... even then it doesn't cover everything.....
