Buying Euros

Interesting to see that the Club has joined up with Moneycorp to offer currency and a prepaid card.  I have a FX card for Euros which I think offers a good rate although they have just introduced a small transaction charge if you withdraw Euros cash. In France this year we found that it was generally accepted for payment at places that take Visa/Mastercard including sites, shops, petrol stations but NOT on the Autoroutes for toll charges.

Went to my usual hole in the wall in Paddington yesterday and bought a few hundred Euros at 1.26.  Not quite as good as I thought it would be but much better than you would get at ports etc.  Of course, you have to get to Paddington!
