anyone been to Avignon?

We are touring France for the first time, been out 3 weeks, at present in Millau thinking of going to Avignon next or that area, can anyone give advice on a nice site please? would be good  if they accepted ACSI as well, we do enjoy quiet and friendy sites as just me and hubby and our small dog,, maybe a small pool would be nice in case we ever get some sunshine to have a dip !!  as its only 8 degrees and pouring down here!! been out over 3 weeks and only had a couple of days sun its been so cold  , any advice would be gratefully received
