We've never visited either but Mossend Fm has been recommended on CT in the past.

I did enquire on another forum about Fairgirth and this is the reply I received :- It is well out of the way, so no walking back from the pubs in Dalbeattie at night, but it is on a through road so you can drive away in different directions. It is a farm with animals that make noise and smells, so that might put some people off.

I can recommend Landis Fm, No.1978 in the Site Directory, if you're not bothered about towing up a narrow lane to the site. Mollance Fm, No.1974 has also been recommended on CT.

I can recommend Mollance Farm, we have just spent nine days there.

Easy to get to, no narrow lanes, five hard-standing pitches, toilets & showers. with the view of a small lake. Good value.
