Why so many Adults Only CL Sites?

I have a CL site, use CL sites and have young kids.  I have been looking at some of the CL sites whose owners use the discussion forum with view to trying to use them in the future.  Unfortunately, many of them seem to be Adults only sites.

I understand that many children nowadays can be a nightmare - kicking balls, noise, free-range doing whatever but ..... some have been raised correctly, like I hope I have raised mine!

It seems that is becoming increasingly more difficult for me to use CL's as many of them are going down this route.  Does any else agree?

I don't have that many kids coming to our site anyway so does it really make a difference?  How would dog-owners feel if many sites became 'no-go' areas for them.  Many dogs can be worse (in my experience) with being allowed to run through the flower beds, into the facilties ( !!!!! ), not picking up after them, barking all day (not on my site but one I was on).

Sorry to make a comparison between dogs & kids, but in my experience it is the parents / owners that determine their behaviour !!!
