As a CL owner and a member,I am not allowed to put myself up for election as I have a commercial interest in caravaning. This applies to all new CL owners who have to join the club,to have a CL. bit of a catch 22.I invested alot of money into the basics for my CL and have found the support from the club/business sadly lacking. It is a business who puts its own concerns first.naturally.But as Cholsley Grange has pointed out Cls are one of the main reasons some members join the club/business.
The club/business did offer extra advertising to Cls in the magazine but it was almost the same as the handbook and we would have had to pay for the pages printed,so we would have been paying to advertise to the people we already advertise to.A good business plan for them, but not for us!

Posted on 28/06/2019 16:33 by WherenextI find it so annoying that I never read anything from this source. He has been asked in the past but obviously chose to ignore it.

Posted on 28/06/2019 16:45 by Freddy55It does make me wonder if the ‘club’ has any interest in CL’s at all. I might well be missing something obvious, but are CL’s of any benefit to the club? After all, CL’s are generally around 50% cheaper.

Posted on 28/06/2019 19:49 by WherenextThey would notice a large reduction in membership should CLs not exist Freddy. Therefore a big hole to plug with loss of membership fees plus ancilliary add ons such as insuance, ferry bookings and the odd site booking.

Any club/company that has members/or shareholders that are protected against financial problems by setting up as a ltd company, is required to register at companies house, with your apparent "contacts"i thought something you would know being that obvious
"Happy to help though"
