We are looking for a CL in Wales that we can take the dogs to. Does anybody have any recommendations?

We recently stayed at Noyadd Farm just outside Builth Wells with our two. Very dog friendly,  loads of walks through the surrounding meadows (on lead, note it's a sheep farm) and plenty more strenuous walks within easy driving distance. Have a look at my review - can thoroughly recommend it! smile

We have just returned from a week at Rhydhalen Farm near New Quay West Wales which is dog friendly.

Beautiful CL, village less than 5 minutes walk, with 2 shops and a dog friendly pub. Pretty New Quay with its Dolphins is 2 miles away.

There is EHU  a toilet but no shower. Owner very friendly too. Plenty of good dog walks in the area.

Wales is quite large! Any particular area, North, Mid, South? We toured South and Mid Wales last year with our two Labradors, using all CLs.

Morning,

We haven't been to Wales at all before so we are open to all suggestions!

The dogs are the driving factor, there has to be plenty of walks and the CL has to allow 5 of them. Noyadd Farm can accommodate us and the reviews all seemed good so, thank you to Moulesy, we have a start with 5 nights there.

Glad to have helped! I'm sure you'll enjoy it there. If you want any suggestions for things to do or places to visit while you're there, just drop me an email. smile

Hi Sevenash. Both these CLs allow dogs, Heath Cottage and Three Oaks CL, both not far from Tenby, Manorbier, Pembroke area. Heath Cottage has a dedicated safe dog walking field, so good off lead exercise. However they do levy a charge for dogs. Three Oaks CL is nice, very quiet. We used the adjacent lane to walk our dogs off lead morning and evening, with no problems, and you can head right down to Carew Castle to walk around the lake if you want to from the site. I would ring and check with both owners before you make a decision, both sites are popular. Hope you get sorted.smile

Thank you takethedogalong, we will keep both of those names. Noyadd Farm also charge for the dogs. Looking forward to the break anyway - it’s the first time for Wales and 5 dogs - should be interesting 😊

That's interesting, because we weren't charged for our 2. Is it because of the number? How much are they charging you?

First dog free then £1 per extra dog per night thereafter.  We thought it a bit cheeky to be honest, there is no mention on their site of additional charges and no mention of it in the telephone conversation we had, it came only in the email asking for the deposit and confirming charges. It must be to do with numbers if there was no charge for 2 but there is for 5.

However, by the time this came through we had started planning and looking forward to going so will roll with it this time.
