Only  went  there  when  the  Steam  Rally  was  on  so  can't  help  you  I'm  afraid.

I pass it a lot on the way to the RSPB site, it always looks tidy and its in a peaceful area.  The cost is £10/night + electric.  This is a commercial site and not a CL.

Just a comment off subject here. I am a RSPB member and Strumpshaw is one of my favourite wildlife spots. For those interested, you will be gaurenteed to see Marsh Harriers (quite rare) and also a good chance of seeing Chinese water deer. On my last visit I also saw some otters. Well worth a visit and not forgetting your club card will give you a free visit
