Should You Give Size / Weight of Your Motorhome?

At the begining of this year we visited a nearby CL to check out if it was suitable and that the owner was happy to accomodate us. The CL consists of a very large grassed area and large concrete hardstanding. All went well until I mention our MH size and weight then the owner claimed his site was busy both for Jan & Feb also that we would take up the space of two.

I would estimate that our MH footprint was equal to a large twin axle & full awning.

As a fully paid up CC member should a CL owner be so prejudiced, I could understand it if the CL was small.

What next, "Your caravan / MH is to old" or I don't like the yellow colour.

Has anyone else been refused entry to a CL?

What if I'd booked over the phone and he hadn't asked about size or weight and we had just turned up?
