Hi, can anyone recommend a CL suitable for the ferry port at Portsmouth. Will be coming from the Blandford Forum area the day before crossing in April and need a night halt. Thank you.

I use the Portsmouth ferries a couple of times a year, and always use the C&CC Chichester site, which is actually at Southbourne Nr Emsworth. Easy access from there to the ferry port and a great site with full facilities. After "wrinklies" discount it works out less than £20 per night. Often up to capacity so best to book ahead. takes none members but a bit dearer then.

Another suitable one virtually on your route coming via Blandford, with a slight detour off the M27 is Drove Lea Farm.

Good pub for grub just up the lane, Old Specked Hen & Abbot normally on tap.

I have booked Carefree Nurseries at Fareham for exactly the same reason . I normally use a Club site but draw the line at nearly £30 and this CL looks ok at £14

This is an excellent CL. Stayed there late December 2016. Will be using it when we next cross from Portsmouth.

Arden near Fareham is a good bet. Very nice  CL site, some hardstanding and electric hookups. £14.  Easy access to the ferry. Stayed there last year and would go again.
