Does anyone know of Certificated Locations that are either Naturist or 'clothing optional'?

There are apparently around 3.8 million naturists in the UK and one would imagine that roughly the same proportion of us are caravanners/motorhomers/campers as in the rest of the population.

I'm going to break my own rule here and post about "Over there" on a UK Touring/ C.L. thread and apologise beforehand for doing so.

I agree with those posters advocating trying sites abroad if Naturism is what you are looking for. We have stayed on sites in Northern Germany where one half is dedicated to Naturism and the other half to clothed campers and didn't find it in any way inhibiting. Both sides had their own facilities but there was no separation on one site I was particularly thinking about in Mecklenburg area. I know that as the cycle route passed through it. The Germans, especially those from the former East, embrace naturism. The weather can be just as brutal in that part of Germany as here so I don't think it bothers people who wish to holiday that way.

In the UK, as previously mentioned try the filter system on www.ukcampsites.co.uk.

The beach adjacent to my old apartment in Spain had a "clothes optional" policy. Superb location. Now a wet weekend on a CAMC site - as much chance of taking off (pun intended) as a lead zeppelin.

For those who have never encountere a naturist  site  as found in mainland Europe it' worth pointing out these sites are very popular and even full at times. Some of them are located in areas that without the USP of naturism would quickly fail for lack of business. If the club did establish such sites I could see them doing very well.
