We are so sick of ringing up CL sites after doing a search on the website only to be told the information on the website is out of date. Owners repetedly tell us they have told the caravan club of their changes time and time again. We have been away this week and rang three different cl sites only to be told one had closed altogether and two were not open in the winter despite having 12 month symbols and coming up in the search as open 12 month locations

We used pub overnight stays as a result and are using the caravan club less and less as we find the club sites far too expensive and the Rallies extremely unfriendly

Strange that, as we use CLs all the year round and very few have mentioned that to us. Perhaps you could contact the CC's CL Site Office and point out the discrepences, asking why the site information is incorrect!

Easy to believe they have not been updated. York Beechwood Grange is still showing the wrong prices two weeks after we were told they would be changed, and that is a large CC site.

There doesn't seem to be much effort going into keeping the web site running as it should. I am wondering if most if not all the effort is going into the launch of a totally new site?

Hello Peedee

I am responsible for keeping the website up to date for our CLs.  I have 2 email inboxes which I monitor on a daily basis for changes and as I speak we are bang up to date.  CL owners do please let me know if you notice anything that needs to be changed.  Members please remember that the price shown in the handbook and on the website is the minimum you can expect to pay and pitch fees may be subject to variation (Sites Directory and Handbook page 282).  Please check with the CL owners before booking.  thanks for all your feedback

Sandie the article in the February magazine about Bryn Glas CL differs to the web site. The mag says it is not an adult only site, the web site says it is. I think I have that the right way round.

Hello Peedee

thanks for your comment.  The CL owner called us in late January and asked for us to amend his site details to "Adults only" which you will now see reflected on the website.  The Magazine has a long lead time (for instance we are currently working on the April issue) so regrettably it was too late to make any amendments/adjustments in The Magazine.  Thanks for highlighting this though.  This site is definitely Adults only now.  Let me know if you spot anything else

Write your comments here...I remember when the current handbook came out and I noticed a drop of CL listings under Lancaster only to find another the missing ten entries in a totally different county section..I advised the Club but was told they were where they were on the instructions of the cl owners..I advised the lady in the Caravan Club that those cl would notice a serious drop in bookings as members would not expect to find the entries concerned in the county they had been put under.

Hello Scottie2

thanks for your comment.  In response to Member feedback we undertook a "Listing Town Review" back in 2014 and all our CL owners were involved.  The sites now sit under their County first and then to the nearest "listing" town which is of a significant size within this county. The change was made to assist Members in locating CLs and these amendments were carried through to the handbook.  I hope that helps you to understand the process we went through and why.  thanks  Sandie
