We had give up on CLs as we have only ever had bad experiences however I decided to try one last time over the recent bank holiday.  Well what a difference a great site can do.  We stayed here http://bowhillfarm.co.uk/index.php .  I know some will say expensive others adults only but for us it was great.  Great views, lovely shower and toilets.  Huge ducks egg's for sale.  My only hesitation about posting this is like to go back and if it gets too popular I will not get in

This site had everything we would have at a club site but very quite, bird song, great views and each pitch has it own water tap.  The club sites we have stayed at this year are this price or more.

Don't like the idea of paying £25 a night but the main reason we avoid Club sites is the 'pack 'em in' mentality. The peace and quiet of a CL and the high quality amenities of this CL might change my mind over the fee.

Snap. If they are proving excellent facilities I don't see why they shouldn't charge for it. I wouldn't pay it because I don't want the toilet, shower etc as I use my own, but I use CLs for their non pack em in car park mentality and not for cheapness.

My son has just booked onto a commercial site with his tent, so we booked the same site for a family weekend. Caravan £25 per night, tent £29 per night!!!!
