I got to it by finding it in discussions, under CLs rather than through the daily updates. There is nothing controversial in it, it’s about someone who just moans about the site they were on. Quite interestIng.

I was unable to access it on every occasion I tried from 'latest activity' page and latest discussion page. Wherenext managed to comment I noted but I couldn't get in! I felt discriminated against 😱😱🥲

Glad to oblige harryb. I can't remember what I wrote word for word but the gist of it is as follows, perhaps a little longer than the original..

We were on a CL on the edge of a very small and quiet village. We'd been there a few days  when I got talking to another guy who arrived a couple of days after us. Soon into the conversation he started to grumble about the access lane to the site which is one of the 'main' roads through the village. At one point the lane is single track for less than about 100 metres but as the lane was used by very few vehicles during the course of a day it shouldn't be a problem - except for him. He also grumbled about the turn off the B road onto the lane, claiming it was dangerous. Again, this B road was never what could be described as busy. He'd already decided that he would find another way out of the village. Good luck with that as many of the lanes in the area are quite narrow in places.

He then went on to grumble about the pitches. These were hard standings and, in fairness, were relatively narrow meaning that cars had to be parked almost in front of the caravan. Pitches were also a little close to each other being 7 metres from edge of one to the edge of the next. "I've already had a word with the owner telling her that the pitches should be wider". Apparently the owner told him, that they wouldn't be changed, which was actually quite obvious because of the lay of the land.

The following day he went out and on return found his air awning collapsed. He, almost delightedly, told me that it had happened to him previously and he had already complained to the manufacturer.

My final comment was that I was pleased not to be pitched right next to him.

Thanks, John. There are some members, thankfully only a few, who like a good grumble rather than just make the best of it. They seem to forget they they chose to visit the site in the first place and that there are ways to view the access roads and read the site reviews before even booking.
