Has anyone stayed there? Description looks good but there are no reviews due to a "technical issue"!! Think it'd be an ideal spot for breaking a journey.

Any former guests out there?

My goodness, one we've not visited!!wink

If you want one not too far off the motorway a little further north, we've used The Lodge, No.1458 in SD., under Newcastle-under-Lyme

Thanks, nellie - should have guessed you'd be the one to ask! The Lodge looks handy for the M6, but we'll be coming down roughly M1/M69 so looking for something handier for that area. smile

Haven't stayed at the site Moulesy,  but I think I have seen posts from them on CT.

They have a Facebook page with positive reviews, looks a nice site.

We used to go walking round there, there is a lovely Knights Templar church at  nearby Temple Balsall. A handy area for Brum and Kenilworth. see here

Rural but not far from motorway connections.

I can only imagine how frustrating that is for you. Anyway, we're booked in now, albeit for just the 1 night and will (try to) leave a review afterwards! Looking forward to meeting you. smile

No one is as frustrated as the owners of Gate Farm CL. The technical issue is the lack of anyone technical at East Grinstead House :-(

Just noticed your post M. I though you were after a site on the way north, but I remember now that you've already booked a site for that journey. Still it'll be there for another time.

Just remembered I'd started this thread! We stayed there last night and it was great, albeit as just an overnight stay to break our journey. Have left a review ("technical problems" seem to have been sorted out now!) but can't add pictures, so here are some! smile
