We travelled past this site on railway WTG, only caught a glimpse. Some of those reviews would have us pondering.

Cae Du, a few miles from Tywyn. We did see this location a few times and our impression was “wow”, right on seafront, does have Railway (not Heritage) running past, but I don’t think there are many trains per day. Location is beautiful, no ideas on price, and probably popular with Guardian readers, if you get my drift😂 https://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=4875

Not sure how big your MH is, but there is a big car park around 100 metres from Tywyn/Talyllyn Station, and it’s by far the most interesting station, with the shop and Museum. Cheap as well. If it’s just for a night, the CL might be ok. I think the trip up took around 45 minutes, everyone got off to watch the engine uncouple and recouple, then it stops at next station down for a tea break, very nice cafe. Then return to Tywyn. It’s not a long trip, but beautiful scenery.

If it helps, the car park we used didn’t appear to have bays, and it was very quiet, but not isolated. As I said, it’s just over the rail bridge (not Heritage line) from the Tywyn Talyllyn Station. I think we paid about £2 for the duration of our time on railway. Probably a five minute drive from the CL in Tywyn. You would miss the main station and shop and museum if you got on and off at the Halt. The drive from Cae Du Site would possibly be around 20 minutes into Tywyn, which has a simple one way system around centre of small town.

Dont know if you know it, but Dolgellau is a nice place, worth a wander. Big car park just over bridge and right as you go in, with a pedestrian path into town. Couple of craft shops, some nice eateries, and there was a small craft/ farmers market on day we went in, but I can’t remember which day of week it was!

Edit Hope this works! https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@52.5831494,-4.0899447,18z/data=!3m1!1e3?hl=en-gb

Hopefully this will be satellite view of Tywyn. Towards top right is Talyllyn main station. If you look towards bottom left you can see a turn off Neptune Road called Cambrian Road. This is car park, no bays, will take largest of MHs. Walk over bridge to station is a mere 100 metres, my Mum did it easily.

WTG, should you use the CL it would be good if you could let members know what you think of it, be it good or bad.

Sounds like a good target to aim for. Hope you succeed to them all. Certainly interested in what you think of the CL should you decide to use it.
