Have you ever fancied having exclusive use of a caravan site to create the ultimate private retreat? For £40 per night you can book the entire Pinsley Corner Farm site just for you and your caravan or motorhome.

(Please note that this is not available for those wishing to organise rallies etc, but intended for sole occupancy of the site)

Please visit our Club site for more details  http://www.caravanclub.co.uk/uk-holidays/search-and-book/certificated-locations/site-detail/?Id=601063&siteName=Pinsley+Corner+Farm&facilities=

Alternatively our own website provides more specific site and surrounding area information http://pinsleycornerfarm.co.uk/caravan-site

Many thanks,

Oly

Wow looks delightful. You've been bookmarked ?.  We won't make it this year Like the idea of exclusive site booking, but not sure we'd use it but nice thought.

Well it's a different marketing pitch Oly! Suspect your site might get quite busy at times, so exclusive use might appeal to some!

We have had CLs to ourselves on quite a frequent basis funnily enough. We were delighted to spend four days on a CS in August last year, lovely weather as well, in of all places, North Norfolk. It was very busy in places like Wells and Sheringham, but we had a gorgeous CS, with loo and shower all to ourselves! Nothing but hares, foxes, deer, owls and us! Magical!Happy

Thanks for the positive replies. Many people seem to really appreciate time and space to themselves in today's busy world so we thought we'd try to address the gap in the market. Whilst clearly more costly we've tried to keep the price down to the equivalent of roughly 3 pitches which we hope is considered fair as whilst electric, waste and water will be less we still have the same site area to maintain and are obviously potentially missing out income from the additional two pitches.

As a new CL we also have availability for the August Bank holiday period if anyone wants to avoid the crowds!

Interesting and different USP. I like the initiative.

Good luck.

Thanks Fysherman.

As we're a new CL not yet in the sites directory we have the  opportunity and availability to offer this type of retreat. It's also certainly the type of rural site and exclusive retreat we personally like for quiet midweek birthdays or that special anniversary getaway.

Many thanks,

Oly

Some are paying close to that to stay on crowded, noisy Club and commercial sites though ET. It is just up to the individual what they prefer. We wouldn't pay above £18 per night on any site, except maybe the odd night on one or two secret hidden spots we have found, but we don't always look at the price, we look at the value of something to us.

Mind you, we have got a hidden cottage on Dartmoor to ourselves for £40 more, but it wouldn't suit some, our choice.

Yes, I was looking at cottage prices too here in inland Cornwall - they are obviously dearer by the sea, but not much more than  £280 around here for cottages with one bedroom in Spring and Autumn - and well furnished and well equipped too.

Is there something in the rules for obtaining a CL exemption that states how close the units have to be?  Could a CL with sufficient space have one unit per field with about half a mile between nearest units?

You're absolutely right there takethedogalong - we would happily pay more to be certain that we weren't right next to loud music, a barking dog or children playing football dangerously near your van.  This can be even more important if the holiday may be the only one of the year due to work commitments etc.

People can always compare with holiday cottages, but then you have to question whether its a fair comparison too e.g. geographical location, siting next to others etc...I hear there are some real bargains to be had for only a few pounds a night in the Middle East at present! Wink

However we don't compare as as we like caravanning...it's not the "poor mans" options for us, we do it because we love it.  Likewise CL's aren't our "poor man's" option for us, we love the rural locations and the seclusion they offer...as such we don't compare with Club sites.  We personally value CL sites on their location, rural nature, access to good walks/cycle route etc, not what the cost to the owner for setup and maintenance etc. Much in the same way people value bottled water and pub lunches - the value to us is greater than the sum of its parts.

This different option is just one step on from this ethos, we thought we'd like to take such an oppurtunity once a year for a special treat ourselves, and others may too, so we thought we'd offer it.

Cheers,

Oly
