Disappearing Reviews?

Some of the reviews I have done for CL sites seem to have disappeared? My profile states that I have only done 16 reviews, I am sure it was up in the 30's prior to the new website launch. Is there a cut off date for transferring data on reviews onto new website?

I am concerned, because I like to leave a review to assist CL owners with their business, and to help fellow members make an informed choice about where to stay, much as we use the reviews of others to help us choose.

Has anyone else not had all their reviews transferred to new website?

Our CL (Burnham Wick Farm, Essex) has lost 7 photos from our webpage and 15 or more reviews from pre mid-August 2015. Really sad that the CC didn't warn us that they would be deleting them as we value each and every review.

Just checked out a review on a CL, not seen one for a Club site so not being biased, lovely review, posted today at 1503.  Doesn't connect to site, in fact doesn't give name of site surprised.  Not much help to me looking for inspiration yell

Personally, I think the CLs have been very hard done by following this website update. Those of us who use CLs extensively have put efforts into doing reviews, as this is a major resource for CLs to advertise and attract new customers. When over half of your efforts disappear, then it becomes less than motivating to continue to do so. I can only imagine how deflated the CL owners must feel at having their reviews removed. I will continue to post reviews on another excellent forum, along with photographs to give you all the support I can!

There ought to be an archive of older reviews for CL sites at the very least for those who rely upon and use them!frown👿

Couldn't agree more with you Ttda. This is a really poor show from the CC. New Improved website? Don't think so.

Had some more time to play on the review I have mentioned.  Clicked on what I assumed was site name, third along the top starting Club Together.  Bought up lots of reviews but still no site page, but a button to take you there.

Clicked on it, says awaiting photo from CL, could well be, but a new photo from the old webpages.

Not easy to identify amenities as no dog, WC, showerhead etc. just bullet points, takes longer to decide if it's for you.

Have to agree that CL's seem to have been really short changed with this 'upgrade'.  They are only allowed to have CC members so this is their showcase sealed.  Rating titles have been amended and good for families has gone.

As a CL owner, we are upset too. We have had consistent good reviews over the years and they have left us with five. Also they have changed our pictures. They were not taken by us, we can identify who took them, nothing wrong with them, but we were having building work done and you can see it on the edge of the photo. Not one I would choose. Its hard enough as it is, keeping afloat, but we don't think this helps.

Might be worth you copying your post into the ask the expert thread that is running to highlight the issues with the revised website.

Add your website address too, so at least members who will support you through visiting can at least see what you have to offer.

Your website:

Agree you CL owners have been screwed over by the failings of the CC in the debacle that is the new CC website.

You have even invested in winterising your pitches with turf reinforcement.

You deserve better from the obvious non caravaners at Grimstead Towers tongue-out

This is what I see for a CL near me. You have to move along the horizontal line/bar to see reviews. I can click under reviews and read them. I don't know whether further reviews are missing?

 Brue

I have just followed the link you posted and I could see the read review button to the right of the screen but then I am using a desktop computer?

On the wider issue of reviews seemingly having been Deleted User. The same has happened to Club site reviews when a decision was made to remove all reviews older than a certain date. I accept that might not be as crucial as CL reviews. My review count has gone down from something like 70 reviews to about 16. If it's of any help a lot of CL's have reviews on UKCampsite and they go back usually a few years.

I have lost lots of reviews too. I agree and also think the CL ones are important since they receive less volume. I can understand CL owners being upset. I often look at ukcampsite for searches and reviews.
