Could anyone recommend CLs near the Leeds - Liverpool Canal? We would like to cycle / walk the tow-path. We would be in a Motorhome, and, prefer EHU and Toilets.

Thank you

What about this one:  Seat House CL near Gargrave.   We live reasonably nearby, and often walk along the canal in that area.  It's a lovely scenic section, and there are some good pubs with good food in Gargrave, plus the village hall do some nice sandwiches and soup for lunch!  You've the market town of Skipton just down the road, Settle in the other direction, and lovely areas of Burnsall and Malham within a shortish drive.

Not far from where we live is Allanson Hall Farm in Adlington.  It's literally at the side of the canal, but reviews aren't that good unfortunately.  Shame, because it's in a brilliant position, we often walk or cycle along that bit of the canal, and it's a really nice area.

We have stayed twice at Seat House, lovely site with great views.  We have walked into Skipton a couple of times along the towpath from Gargrave.  From the site it's about a 12 mile return journey.

Thanks for that, ValDa and Oneputt, looks good, I will put it on the list. We are planning to walk cycle the length of the canal, not all in one go! So, we are looking at stopping places.

Thanks for that one InaD. We have actually used that one before, I would say the reviews sum it up pretty accurately.

Certainly sounds good from the reviews and the site photo looks very nice but why all the add ons?

Awning 1.50, porch awning 1.00. motorhomes over 6m 1.00 and twin axles 1.00 Such a pity

I posted this earlier this morning but when I submitted it I got the dreaded Error page; then had to go out, so here I'm trying again:

I thought of another site: Bridge House Marina at Garstang.  It's a marina and site, so not a CL, and the prices are for 2015, but perhaps worth a look?  It's many years since we stayed there for a weekend, but it's right by the canal.

Another CL worth considering may be Thursland Hill Farm.  Again, it's a few years since we stayed there, but it was a lovely Cl with really helpful owners.  Not right by the canal, but within cycling distance of Glasson Dock from where you can pick up the canal.  Also there is a cycle path to Lancaster which you can pick up from Glasson.

Thanks again InaD, have checked them out on website, look ideal.
