Hi Suppy,

when you say 'mid Kent' whereabouts are you thinking? Where do you want to be close to. I can give you several but not sure whether they would be out of your range

There's 'The Wagon & Horses' CL just to the north of Ashford. Basic but adequate. Space for the children to run up and down.

Top of my list would be 'Roundoak' near Maidstone. A working farm with rare breeds; children welcome and they would be shown around the farm.

Second would be Oast House near Cantebury. Home made chutneys, apple juice for sale as well as a welcome cheese scone when you arrive.

Third, Little Rhode Farm near Hythe, is very nice with a provided loo and shower block and washing machine if you need it.

all of the above very welcoming, tidy and worth a visit. Good luck and let us know where you choose so we can visit if we haven't already.

Write your comments here... Hi Suppy. I do find it odd that you would post for advice then give no indication that you have received? Maybe it's just me.

Am I allowed to say that the Wagon and Horses is probably 'not the nicest' CL in the area? NO? Well I said it anyway. That said, it may have changed since I was last there. I do agree the pub grub is quite good and saves cooking.
