Neither the handbook nor the web details can keep up to date with prices ..

When you review a CL, why not put the current price along with your report .. ?

I intend so to do for the future ..

I'll think about doing that for all the reviews I write in future. I do it ocasionally now if I think that it's a bargain or has increased by a lot from that advertised. However of course that price will only be valid for the time we were there.

Problem its the same as the book/web page it would soon become out of date so who is responsible to update the price you put on???

Pricing of CLs varies greatly, some have a basic all in price, others charge for extras, give discount for no hook up, some have metered electric. Some even charge depending upon length of outfit or number of axles! Not an exact science, but if it is a basic all in price, then we usually mention. I would always check current price with owners though before booking, time of year and length of stay are other variables!

Anything is better than the current system

When enquiring to book the CL -- Just ask the pricing structure at the time.---------- Simple and straightforward and you will be told the latest prices at that time.

Very true but some of us don't want to offend by saying the CL is too expensive.  Easier if you knew the price before hand and before wasting time phoning around.

Many of us M/H are perapatetic and only look for a Cl that afternoon for a stop over.We look in the book and expect a price similar to that shown. Difficult to turn round and leave. Also very often on CLs there is no one in, you park  up and someone calls later.Again difficult to leave if prices are too high.

We alway ask the price, and if it's more than what we consider a reasonable price for the facilities on offer, we have no problem with saying so. We have not used the selected site if that's the case.
