can anyone reccomend a cl Cumbria (preferably south) or west Yorkshire that has good off lead dog walks from site. Near or on a river or lake would be good but not a deal breaker. Nice rural views.

Someone recently mentioned a new CL called Sandbeds, near Gressingham (north Lancs) which looks to be next to the river Lune and only about 10 mins from J35 Carnforth.  Not that far from south Cumbria Smile

We might have a drive down there at some point to check it out.  Looks quite nice from the photos.

A lovely site the owner has done realy well. I went to have a look because it said access road narrow. Go and check it out be before you book, that is all I am going to say on this cl.

I think OH has now had a look on google street view (or something similar) and is not too happy with the access.

Kenny, do you think it's worth spending our time checking it out?  I'm guessing not Sad  We'd be towing a 7.3m caravan.  May be more suited to campervans and small motorhomes?

My van is 7.3m as you go into the lane of the b road 50yd there is a narrow bridge with a tight left hand bend two tight for me to attempt ideal for small motor home it is a pity it is a nice site but with car and caravan we are nearly 40ft.

Thanks Kenny Smile  Our van is the same length as yours, which we tow with a Kia Sorento, so the CL is probably not for us.  Shame really because it looks very nice.

Can I suggest

Bolton Hall CL
Gosforth
CA20 1JD

It gets fabulous reviews, and the owners are charming.

well were booked in, the owner did not mention poor access when I spoke to him. Will report back as to how tight the access actually is.

Hope the access is okay for you spk Undecided  but as Kenny has had a look and has the same size van as us ... and the same car, I don't think it's for us.  We will look forward to your report though, and hope you have a great time Smile
