Brigholme Farm, Giggleswick

Scenery all around is lovely😁 you could head up to Ingleton, a few nice shops there, plus the Waterfalls walks. It’s an interesting and very scenic drive up the small road that runs parallel to B6255, from Ingleton up to Chapel le Dale. The tiny church there has a memorial to the men killed building the Ribblehead Viaduct not far away. White Scar Caves are on the B6255. The drive over the tops further on and into Hawes is good. Nice pubs all the way on this drive.

Settle has a Booths. Delicious food, including their own ready prepared stuff if you want a lazy meal in! Some nice shops as well.

Slightly further afield is Skipton. Lovely town, lots of great shops and eateries. Castle and church very interesting. Not far away is a rather different eatery experience........Billy Bob’s Parlour! An American style diner  and ice cream parlour. Does get busy and avoid weekends😱

The whole area is of course great walking territory. Tiny little short walks, to yomping great hikes. The top of Malham Cove is an interesting visit, limestone pavement has weathered down the eras. It’s a very popular location for film and TV scenes. There’s a good walk from Malham, up gradually onto the top of the Cove, across the top, then down steeply into the Cove itself and back. (Don’t do it the other way round, climbing up the steep bit is a lungbuster!) Not for the unsteady though. An OS map is your friend on this trip.

We are up in area in March, another great CL at Seat House, although this time we are going in cottage with Mum! Have a great time.😁

Thank you TTDA - much appreciated, lots to do.   Picked this one as able to walk into Settle.    Layhead Farm was our other choice but a bit further out of Settle.

You are welcome Moonstone. If you fancy doing one of the Peaks, I can recommend Ingleborough, via Crinna Bottom. We did it in the snow many years ago, stunning views.

I can recommend Bizzie Lizzies Fish and Chip Shop, and Skipton Pie and Mash Shop as well. Both do sit in or takeaway.👍

We stayed at Brigholme in June last year. Nice CL with easy walk into Settle. As Ttda says, Booths in Settle is excellent for provisions.

Try the Buck Inn in Malham. Good beers and grub.Dog friendly if you need it. Give yourself a treat and go over the top to Malham from Settle, especially if it's a lovely day. If you walk Ingleborough then try the New Inn in Clapham

If you like walking then don't miss out on climbing Pen-y-Ghent.

Edit - Just noticed that I seemed to have forgotten to write a review of the site. Very remiss of me. However Helen & Trevor's is on a par with my thoughts.

Just seen this post, like Wherenext we stayed at the site last year. It's a good CL, although fairly compact. You have probably read my review Lovely area, lots of pubs in Settle, we used The Talbot Arms which was dog friendly and they sold the local Settle Brewery Beers. The fish and chip shop in Settle was also very good. There is also another pub within walking distance, opposite direction to Settle, but I can't remember the name. 

Plenty of walks along the river in both directions. Hope you have a lovely time.
