Might add with your big outfit it would be wise to check if they can accomodate you.

Definitely.  For a smaller outfit I might have suggested Camping Beausoleil at Gradignam on the south side of the Bordeaux ring road -and even though they say “outfits over 8 metres on request” AD’s suggestion sounds the better option.

Have a look online for Camping du Lac website, there are pitches of various sizes available that might be ok for you.  If you wait until the new year you could ring up this site and any others suggested on here.  Good luck

There’s also info on line for a decent looking specialist motorhome aire at Ambares, 10 miles north of the city, it’s called Le Grain and there are photos on their website. It’s said to be open all year round and has automated entry and payment by credit card 24 hours a day,  so useful for arrivals after campsite receptions have closed.  It mentions a max, motorhome size of 9 metres and separate parking for cars.

Agree with ET above, looks great. €12 a night out of season...lots of good reviews on park4night.....I'd definitely get this app as a motorhomer. Thousands of stopping places if you're happy away from formal sites during the journey.
