There does not seem to be a photo. Is it a halogen spot? If so they are a liability and I would advise replacing with LED's. In our old Abbey there were numerous spots. They all started damaging the plastic surround. I don't know if they would ever have started a fire, but the plastic surround certainly wasn't up to the temperature they generated. I replaced them all with LED equivalents.

It's all too easy to replace the 10 watt halogen G4 bulbs with 20 watt which get way too hot ..... I've had similar problems in the past with my previous caravan's spot lights

On our previous caravan we changed out the halogens for LEDs, due to the heat and power usage. As red is good for the eyes and I had a couple in the garage we tried that, but had to many knocks on the door embarassed so bought all white.laughing

Our present one has all LED lighting, cool to touch and very low wattage.

I had 4 sets of 3 halogen light units in the kitchen at home. Great for warmth in the winter or melting butter to brush over meat for grilling. Put it on the side, in a mug, under a spotlights glare and it would liquefy in no time. Replaced all with LED
