Decided to move the caravan for. It’s first clean from the winters wind and grime , The battery had been ok in the van and was connected to the mains for separate heating.
Raised the steadies , moved the locks etc. and the pressed the mover button and drew the rollers onto the tyres. All good so far until I pressed to go backwards , it moved about 6” and then stopped . Had the same last year and replaced the controllers batteries and it was fine. However upon replacing the batteries this time , when I pressed the button I heard the mover engage but the controller carried on bleeping and did not operate. Two weeks earlier I had the 2 year old van battery charged but on investigation I noticed when I tired the power switch on for the mover the indicator showed a drop in power to under 11 volt which I guess means the battery is U S . What I do not understand is the controller carrying on bleeping. Has anyone experienced the same.
Secondly the rollers are now hard onto the tyres . I looked to the front of the mover and there is a bung that when removed gives you access to manually take the rollers off the tyre but there is no provision (slot) to put a driver into remove it. It then started howling a gale so I’ve come in . Any ideas apart from making my own ‘slot’ if you know what I mean .
