Truma SE mover

You should have a ‘T’ allen key which goes in the hole where you removed the bung from, you then turn the ‘key’ to wind the rollers off/on to the tyres

There is also a reset button on the control unit inside the c’van, instructions are in the user manual

I had the same problem with my motor mover recently. If you don't have the Truma Allen Key, a 7mm socket on a short extension bar will suffice. From memory, the manual specifies 'exactly 14 turns to free the roller off completely'.

Thanks you guys . got the plastic plugs out and wound the rollers back off. When I put the tools back I found that key in the red plastic box after searching for a 7 mm socket for an hour or so. Think mover problem relates to leisure battery (18 months old) had it charged but something is obviously draining it it had gone down to 10.5 volt  and this morning Zero. Can anyone recommend a good multimeter .

Sorry I haven’t looked at the manual yet it’s bucking it down outside ,not ideal caravanning weather  

So that's what it's for. There was one in a drawer when I bought my caravan a few years back but the movers on the caravan are Pwrtouch so no idea how it found its way into my caravan.

 Powrtouch are now part of the Truma empire. There is an incredibly helpful individual in the Technical Advice Section, Ellliot Smith [01283 587900] who talked me through the likely causes and emailed me a PDF of the maintenance schedule, including the 'use a 7mm socket if you are stuck in Spain; quicker than waiting for us to ship and probably cheaper too'.
He is an absolute credit to the company [UK base is in South Derbyshire]

Bit of a long shot - but have you actually checked the connections to the leisure battery? I had a similar problem when on site a couple of months ago - running the rollers when not engaged on the tyre reduced the voltage of the battery from 13v+ to under 11v, in seconds. The mover is designed not to work if the voltage drops below 12v.

I assumed it was a faulty battery, even though it was a good quality one and only a year old - but then I checked the connections on the terminals.  Although, visually, they appeared OK, in actual fact, the positive one was loose - and I almost missed spotting it.  Once tightened up, everything was fine again.
