We have 2 Kampa air awnings - porch style and full. The bigger of the 2 being the Kampa 390 pro. The smaller one has been trouble free whereas the 390 pro, albeit, little used has been plagued with air bag bursts with associated sleeve rips.
The first was on its first use around 6 years ago. This was resolved under warranty. The second and probably 5th time used, was last year when another air bag burst and sleeve ripped. This cost around £100 to replace.
Yesterday the centre man bag burst with associated sleeve tearing. This is expected to cost around £150 to make good.
On all occasions I have used the Kampa 12 volt air pump to inflate to 9 psi. Kampa recommends 8 - 10 psi but I’ve read it’s been tested to 22 psi.

Have I been sold a defective product or has others experienced the same as I.

Kampa denies a design fault when they responded this morning but helped to identify the damaged parts from themselves
