Hi all

I changed my car last year for 2017 Nissan X Trail my 3 one which I am reasonably happy with but prefer the older models but that's another story.

This model has a dealer fitted detachable towbar which is fine.  I have a problem which is the electrical hook up is hidden under the car and because of difficulty with arthritis I have to virtually lie down to connect  up.  I am looking at fitting a device which allows me to slide the connector out to attach my caravan up then slide it back.  It will not have any effect on integrity of the towbar whatsoever.

Has anyone had the same problem or seen a factory made attachment please. Any suggestions will be welcome.

Cheers

Colin H

My R Class had a towbar fitted that had a socket that rotated round to allow you to plug the caravan in and when I fitted the towbar to my Omega I managed to fit a similar bracket that I got from Bosal (I think)

This is from Witter (Click here) but there must be other similar brackets available

Just found the same thing at PF  Jones for a lot less Swivel bracket
