Now looking thru the mags and internet bailey do this tests with a wide range of cars but I've noticed they do them with the orion light weight range? 6 berth van 1380kg!!!! most 6 berths are over 1600kg and upwards to 1950kg i think i may be wrong.

Personal i think some but not all light weight van lose the nice warm comfortable feel of a caravan and seem very basic cold feeling with thinner, lightweight materials.

Many people buy a tow car on actual reviews then get home hook up there van thats maybe only 100-200 kg more  than the van in the test and then realize the car is not tow-car of the year when pulling there loved van.

But with vans getting heavy with the mod cons etc most tow cars they recommend in your price range cant pull the van you want or already have,

Whats everyone car and vans spec.

I have a VW 4x4 thats 2408kg with 245BHP and has 406 / 550 Lbs.ft / Nm at 1750rpm towing a single axel family caravan that is MTPLM 1499kg.

more than enough to tow it and other vans,id like to see the test down with heavy vans at the top end of the scale then we would know that any van lighter will be ok
