Hi we tow with a Passat Estate 140bhp with 36000 miles on the clock 10 reg. it's off to the garage as we think it has worn shock absorbers on near side rear and offside front. Last week we heard a fairly heavy " twang" as we reversed off the drive but all seemed well and we towed our Elddis Explore 504 for some 200 miles yesterday with no problems. Today, however, we heard substantial rattles and took everything out of the car to try to locate the source. Husband thinks rear near side feels more bouncy and we suspect shock absorbers. Has anyone had any such problems? Comments would be appreciated. Car has towed about 1500 miles in total and caravan nose weight has never been exceeded.
