Hi, does anyone on here tow with a Rexton or Turismo 2.2.

If so what are your thoughts on tow ability and also fuel consumption both solo and towing.

TIA

We have an (old shape) 2018 registered Rexton W 2.2 diesel auto (7 speed tiptronic) and it's a brilliant tow car.

It does everything without the slightest fuss.  It just gets on with it. Hills, what hills!

It's only dressed up as a Ssangyong; its mostly a Mercedes underneath and it is proper, in that it is a body on chassis build.  Yes, it's rugged and a tad, only a tad, bumpy on minor roads, but on main roads and motorways, its very smooth and surprisingly quiet.  ie, it's not an agricultural experience on any road or as regard noise.

It does around 38mpg without the 'van and at least 25+MPG with it.  And it only costs £155 for road tax!

All of the seats are leather and heated and electrically adjustable and if I could buy a sofa with seats as comfortable as this car has, I'd be there tomorrow!

We bought ours new (got a great discount), but you can pick up low mileage ones for a great price if you look around.  The current models are reportedly not so good on fuel and are higher road tax, so I'd go used.

A friend of ours tows with a Korando and says its great too.

Road tax for a new ultimate with metallic paint is £155 as ssangyong have kept the list price £50 below the £40k tax freshhold.
