Passat GT 190 vs Audi Avant 190 using Match Up

Hi All,

I’ve narrowed my choice down to either a Passat GT or R-Line 2.0 TDI (190) or a Audi Avant 2.0 (190).

I’ve used Towcar Info a Caravan Car Match Up site. How accurate it is, I’m not sure. Your thoughts on my two choices and the use of the site https://towcar.info/GB/

Usually ok in my experience and certainly far superior to the ‘clubs’ tool which has too many errors and data gaps. You do not state whether A4 or A6 and with any of them stretch your budget if possible to the Alltrack Passat or Allroad Audi versions and automatic (DSG Passat). I tow with an older Alltrack DSG approaching 120k miles and really like it. Tows a Sprite Quattro t/a uprated to 1800kg perfectly fine and all over Europe too.
