I own a new shape Citroen C4 and would like to share my views. The car is a C4 Airdream 1.6HDI EGS VTR+ and is a year old with 13K on the clock. I tow a 1300 Kg Bailey which is about 85% of the kerbweight. 1440Kg.

I have towed about 500 miles last year and it tows like a dream, easily obtaining 60mph but generally cruise around the mid 50s, fuel consumtion solo mid to high 60s, towing mid to high 30s. I cannot praise the car enough meets all my expectations. A bit of an isuue getting a towbar fitted due to the Canbus electronics and decided to use Eddy Grimstead Citroen dealer at Romford, really ex service and cost £650, which is comparable with others, and a citroen warranty which I felt was important with a new car.

The EGS Box is excellant, a bit jerky at times but use in manual when towing rather than auto, also switch off the stop/start system to protect the turbo after prolonged driving.

If you want a nice motor then this is a good un! and I dont work or have any freinds in Citroen, retired from being a building surveyor,am I luky or what!!!
