Mercedes C220 Sport Estate

Having just bought a Mercedes C220 Sport Estate to tow our Compass Magnum Classic 482 I was concerned to read the adverse comments in the latest Tow Car of the Year report for the non-sport version of this car.    However, I need not have worried.    On a trip to Stamford (100 miles of motorway and non-motorway driving) the car performed perfectly.   The combination was very stable with no sign of pitching or snaking in varying conditions and throughout the speed range.   Maybe the Sport version has different characteristics.   Has anyone else had any problems towing with the Sport version?
