Dear CC members,

1st post on here but do post in lots of other forums relating to cars and caravans.

Anyway i am selling my E Class 320cdi estate and looking to trade down/accross to a Kia Sedona.

I need to be able to get my 125cc twist and go scooter in the back and dont really want to van!

I like an automatic but was shocked to see that a 06 onwards KS is £470 road tax.

So i have been looking at a manual which is the same as my MB (£270), however i have seen a 2003 KS on Fleabay which is auto, however these early models are only £270 pa (same as my MB) this was according to "Parkers" guides.

Does anyone have a pre 2006 KS and can confirm this?

Can you provide any help with known faults or traits on all KS from 99-2009? What are they like to drive? Are they quiet, is the fuel ecoonomy acceptable when towing at sensible speeds?

I know it will not drive like my MB Frown, but i like a heavy car to tow my 2009 Lunar Lexon SI. The KS will tow 2000kg.

As said, it is for its practicality not looks etc.

Any other suggestions for a reliable MPV that will get a scooter in the back thats just over 1m high.

Just want a reliable car with a bit of decent pulling power!

Thanks

Mark.
