I have a Catergory B Licence. I am wanting the new Bailey Phoenix + 640 model but i have been having a bit of an issue finding a decent tow car, that could keep me under 3500kg. However, I have identified the Mazda CX-5 as a potential, that we keep me within legal limits. The issue I have is that there seems to be all sorts of different figures for GVW, kerb weights etc. As far as i know the Mazda CX-5 has:

GVW = 2020kg

Kerb Weight = 1671kg

Towing Limit = 2000kg

CC seems to have different info on their car/caravan matching system. Does anyone have this combo, who is Cat B license, who might be able to advice?

Thankyou

The Phoenix +460 MTPLM 1411 kgs LINK

Plus, your GVW of 2020 kgs

= 3,431 kgs, legal on "B" licence.

MTPLM/ kerb weight x 100 = 1411/ 1671 x 100 = 84% a very healthy mass ratio match.
