So, as we know in most cases, what the car says it should produce power wise on paper, isn't always the reality, sadly in most cases it's usually less Frown

Long story short, I ended up putting my 2001 Passat 1.9 TDI (130) on a rolling road last weekend. The results shocked me!

I know I have a minor moost leak, the car has 101,000 miles on the clock. She runs 100% standard engine, no modifications at all.

The book says 130bhp and 210 lb/ft of torque.

I got 143bhp and 235 lb/ft of torque. a 10% increase in both areas. Talking to the RR operator 130PD engines always produce more than standard, with my slight boost leak fixed i could see a bit more. (would have helped if i'd had my tyre pressures spot on too Embarassed)

Interesting I thought, what power I thought i'd have, was way off the mark. (Expecting a 120/200 personally). Enough to be a game changer when thinking about power to weight!

Maybe I was a bit harsh on the "Gutless" x-trail
