Thanks folk. Now a question, we have all seen examples of dangerous driving incidents or folk deliberately breaking the law. Do folk feel it would be good or bad form to present evidence of such to the police which is captured on such devices? I must admit there have been times when I'd wished a police car had been around when some miscreant has put other road users lives in danger. After all mine and your loved ones are out there too. Maybe this could seriously 'calm' or modify the way some folk drive if we all together joined the 'dash cam force' against them.

The unfortunate reality is that years of cutbacks have left our police forces in such a depleted state that they are unable to pursue anything other than very serious incidents. This isn’t my unsubstiated opinion, but advice from police offers who we have spoken to, regarding clear misdemeanours . They will, however, give you a report reference number. Nonetheless we have dash cams perminatly fitted in our two cars.
