In order to free up some examiner availability in an attempt to reduce waiting times for cat B tests the DVLA has launched a consultation that is considering, amongst other things, removing the requirement to pass a B+E test before being able to tow a trailer over 750kg. What are people's thoughts, particularly with regard to safety. If you are interested the full consultation document is available at www.gov.uk/government/consultations.....

There was no such test when many of us took up caravanning. Is it really necessary? I say scrap it.
